Get excited! I'm working on getting our materials ready for a new project this year...a rocket launch! (Sorry to all of my past students for not including this before...but we still had fun right? :)
Within your design teams it will be your responsibility to design, construct, and launch a working rocket and have it reach "space". You must stay within your budget and your goal is to actually make a profit, but be careful, you can easily fall into traps in your design that might make you lose money.
I'm really excited about adding this to our curriculum this year! If you need some inspiration grab a copy of Rocket Boys and start reading!
